Continuing children will pay $50 per child or $75 per family by June 30 each year to cover admission for the following fall.

All schools are required to have a Disaster Preparedness plan in the event of an earthquake or other disaster. Our center practices all health and safety procedures, including emergency evacuation drills, on a regular basis. An emergency kit, which includes emergency essentials for your child for 72 hours, is included in your registration fee.
Immunization Requirements
An updated immunization record must be presented at the time of your child’s enrollment. All records must be current and in compliance with California State regulations. A current physician’s report must be submitted as well.

Vacation, Illness, Emergency School Closures – Tuition Policy
Payment is due whether or not your child is present at school; this includes holidays, sick days, and emergency unexpected school closures.
Sign-in/out Procedure
You are required to sign your child in and out of MNP each day with full signature. This record is proof that your child is on site and is also used in emergency situations. The person signing your child out must be 18 or older.
Authorization for Release
Only adults authorized by a parent/guardian will be allowed to leave the school premises with your child. The adult must show valid picture identification.
Withdrawal of Your Child
A thirty-day written notice is required when withdrawing your child from the program. MNP reserves the right to immediately withdraw any child if he/she becomes a threat to him/herself, if it is determined that the safety of the other children is compromised, if he/she refuses to follow MNP policies, or if MNP determines it cannot meet the needs of the child and/or family.
Emergency Cards
In case of illness or injury, emergency cards are kept on file in the office and classroom. It is important to keep an updated record of all emergency contacts and all persons authorized to pick up your child.
Clothing
For your child’s comfort and safety we recommend comfortable, washable play clothes and athletic shoes. Each child must have a complete extra set of clothing in his/her cubby. All clothing should be clearly marked with your child’s name. THE PRESCHOOL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGED OR LOST CLOTHING.
Personal Belongings
Our classrooms are full of learning materials for all children to share. We ask that all toys, food, money, or other miscellaneous personal items by left at home.
Destruction of School Property
You may be responsible for the cost of toys or other school property intentionally damaged by your child.
Biting Policy
Biting is common among infants and toddlers. Biting may occur due to teething, peer interaction, imitation, frustration, anxiety, autonomy and control, and curiosity. It occurs most frequently when a child is tired, frustrated, or overstimulated. If biting occurs, MNP will attend to the victim first, complete an accident report, and report any broken skin to the Director and to the child’s parents. The biting child will be redirected to appropriate activities. Parents of the children involved will be notified; however, neither the parents of the bitten child nor the parents of the biting child will be given the name of the other child/family involved. If biting becomes excessive, MNP reserves the right to temporarily exclude the child from the Preschool if it is determined that the safety of the other children is being compromised.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome at MNP at all times. We encourage parents to visit and observe in their child’s classroom. To monitor visitors, we ask that you please check in at the office.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Immunizations
A valid immunization record must be presented at the time of your child’s enrollment. All records need to be current and in compliance with state regulations.
Illness
Any child experiencing a fever of 100.4 F or higher, vomiting, infectious eye or skin conditions, profuse nasal discharge, or diarrhea may not attend school. If any of these conditions should occur at school, a parent will be notified immediately. While arrangements are being made for the child to be picked up, the child may rest quietly in the office, away from the other children. However, the child must be picked up within an hour of notification. Children are required to be free of any fever or illness for at least 4 hours before returning to school. Please contact MNP if your child has been diagnosed with a contagious disease. MNP will post any contagious diseases to which your child may have been exposed.
Medication
Medication will be administered to your child with the consent of a parent or legal guardian and a licensed physician. A medicine slip must be completed by the parents, giving specific instructions on proper time and dosage. Prescription medicine must be in the original container with a label containing the following:
• child’s name
• current date
• time of dosage
• dosage amount
• number of days to be administered
• pharmacy name
Nonprescription medicine, including topical and over-the-counter medicine, will be administered with the consent of a parent or legal guardian and written instructions containing the above information from a licensed physician. Containers must be labeled with the child’s name. A specific staff member will be designated to administer medication to ensure the proper dosage is given at the proper time.
Meals
Each child arriving at MNP before 7:25 a.m. may bring breakfast. Lunches may be purchased for an additional monthly fee. Parents who don’t purchase a lunch from MNP must provide a lunch each day. A morning and afternoon snack will be served. These are included in the tuition cost. A weekly snack menu will be posted in your child’s classroom. Please note: The menu may be altered without notice. Please notify the office if your child has any food allergies. Lunch will not be refrigerated or heated, so please plan accordingly.
Rest Time
Rest time will be from 11:30 to 1:30 on the Infant/Toddler side and 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on the Preschool side daily. Each child will be required to rest quietly on his/her cot. A blanket and a stuffed animal from home can help make this a relaxing time for your child.
