Children at Mission Nazarene Preschool benefit from a full developmental curriculum that meets their emotional, physical, social, intellectual and spiritual needs. Our program and environment creat a secure and loving atmosphere grounded in Christian principles. Our music teacher introduces instruments along with new and fun songs. Our Children's Pastor presents an interactive chapel service once a week, which includes music and movement along with a Bible story time. Our enrichment programs include: music, creative activities and art, blocks, fine and gross motor skills, dramatic play, math and science development.

By this age, children are ready to explore self independence. Encouraging children to make choices is key to expressing self autonomy.  In the Sea Stars they are ready to move on from the teriffic twos and start become the preschooler.
In this class we encourage potty training by the age of three so they can graduate on to the Dolphins class.  Teachers will work with both the parents and the child to make it a successful time for the child.  We will encourage but never push.  Children will let us know with physical signs that they are ready and then the process will begin.

The entire curriculum and program of Mission Nazarene Preschool is designed to foster self-esteem and decision making abilities that promote the development of your child. We have compiled age appropriate lists for each stage of your child's development and included them in the corresponding classrooms. These are goals our teachers strive to achieve with your child while in the SEA STARS class:
